Every new school year brings fresh excitement—and fresh challenges—for students in Vietnam’s rural provinces. That’s why each year, Children of Peace International (COPI) returns to Vinh Long Province with something simple but powerful: notebooks.

In September 2025, COPI distributed 10,000 custom-designed notebooks to 500 students at the start of the academic year. For many families, even basic school supplies can be a financial burden. These notebooks help ensure students have what they need to stay in class, keep up, and feel confident.

This event came just weeks after a student-led initiative with Help The People, who organized their own drive to deliver school kits and handmade cards. Read their inspiring story here

What makes these notebooks even more special? COPI designed the covers to feature daily hygiene guidance—offering a gentle, visual reminder of healthy habits that students can carry with them every day.

The notebooks were designed with students in mind, featuring bright covers and practical hygiene tips. Simple and intentional, they were created to support learning and well-being — a small tool with a meaningful purpose.

This annual program targets students from disadvantaged families and marginalized communities. The joy on their faces as they receive new materials is a reminder that it doesn’t take much to spark motivation.
