Children of Peace International exists to serve Vietnam by developing the ability of the people to help themselves through health care and education.
Children of Peace International partners with local and national governments, along with orphanage and school administrators, to ensure effective operations and loving care for every child in its programs.
Though the organization’s original focus was orphan care, the shifting needs of the country have led COPI to prioritize the expansion of educational opportunities in recent years. Children of Peace International provides nearly 300 annual scholarships for students from elementary school through college across Vinh Long, Phu Yen, and Ho Chi Minh City. Many children who began with support in elementary school have continued to college and professional schools.
In the rural town of Sa Pa, Children of Peace International has built and equipped two elementary schools, with a third under construction, each serving around 200 students. In the Vinh Long Delta region, the organization has also established a kindergarten for over 100 students.
The organization also funds charity houses in underserved areas of Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang that offer daycare, after-school programs, and teen support.
Finally, Children of Peace International sponsors medical missions that bring Vietnamese healthcare professionals to underserved communities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, and Quang Nam, coordinated by the in-country team.

Education is the key to a safe and secure future for the young of Vietnam. COPI supports students in the third grade through graduate school with scholarship support.
Giving Relief from illness and pain
COPI partners with dentists throughout Vietnam to bring quality dental care to rural and impoverished populations. We also teach dental and personal hygiene.
Building and maintaining safe learning environments
COPI creates partnerships between American donors and regional governments to build, update, or maintain school buildings particularly in remote areas.
Binh Rybacki founded Children of Peace International (COPI), a Vietnam children’s charity, in 1993, driven by her passion to uplift underprivileged children in her homeland.
After escaping Vietnam and building a life in the United States, Binh poured her heart and soul into COPI, transforming the lives of thousands of children over three decades.
Known for her humor, compassion, and boundless dedication, Binh believed deeply in empowering communities to care for their most vulnerable.
Binh’s legacy lives on through the commitment of COPI’s board and supporters, carrying forward her dream of a brighter, more hopeful future for the children of Vietnam.
